Is there a part 1? If so, I really want to read it as I enjoyed reading this very much. You have grabbed your readers’ attention by your first sentence, but then kept us guessing by not revealing whose body it was. The use of the light flashing on and off, as an echo of the rain dripping, is also most effective.
I shall look forward to reading next week’s entry.
