I have noticed that in one of your sentences, that you wrote o/ I don’t really know if that is supposed to be like that but a guess is it is oh? On the other hand Well Done!

The opening sentences capture the reader’s attention and there are some wonderfully descriptive words -flickering light, glimpse, perplexed.
