Well this was an excellent piece of writing; your best yet for the challenge. Your clever use of a 1 word sentence had me hooked from the start and you made great use of the narrator’s voice to make me care about what was happening and wanting to know more. Remember your apostrophe to show possession. You really are a talented writer.
